HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth senior Cha’Mia Rothwell, former Durham Strider, has been named a 2019-20 Academic All-District First Team selection for track & field/cross country as awarded by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Friday, July 10.

Rothwell earned the distinction of being one of 13 student-athletes from District I (the northeast region) to be recognized for her work in both the classroom and on the track.

A psychology major with a 3.57 grade-point average through the winter term of her senior year, Rothwell has been one of the most decorated track & field student-athletes ever to come through Hanover. She leaves the program this spring with nine career Ivy League titles and was an 11-time all-conference performer.

Most recently, the Durham, North Carolina, native was tabbed as the recipient of both the Class of 1976 Award — presented annually to the most outstanding female student-athlete — as well as the Kenneth Archibald Prize — Dartmouth’s highest athletic honor, presented annually to “the member of the graduating class who has been four years in attendance, who has been the best all-around athlete, regard also being had to moral worth and high standing in scholarship.”
